Mayor Bill Bogaard welcomed the crowd and addressed the importance of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights
The Sounds of Joy Choir from the Walter Hoving Home sang the Preamble to the UNDHR, "A Choral Quilt of Hope" with music by Adrienne Albert and Adaptation by Susan Suntree. An exhibit by the Art Center College of Design followed the one hour ceremony.
